International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is a test conducted multiple times every year and is undertaken by students who wish to immigrate to an English speaking country. Candidates can start with IELTS exam registration once they have elected the type of exam they want to give. There are two ways to register for IELTS, either through British council or IDP. Step by step process of registering for IELTS Exam:
#1. If you’re a student, check with your university/colleges which kind IELTS is required (Academic or General) for enrollment in your course. If you are applying for work visa or family visa, survey official immigration website or ask your immigration consultants, which IELTS exam is suitable.
#2. Next, login to official website of either of the two organizations conducting IELTS Exam 2017. After you have logged in, find nearest IELTS test center and check IELTS 2017 dates to elect one that suits you. You can also note the deadline for registration of each test date by entering your choice of country and city.
#3. Based on your selection of Academic or General IELTS, start with IELTS exam registration. Registration would require you to fill personal information such as identification, passport details, etc. Make sure you fill all these details right.
#4. Print out the application form or admit card, that you would be required to carry during IELTS exam 2017 or you can also ask test centre for a copy. Please make sure you have a valid postal address and use the same name as on your passport.
#5. You would be required to fill examination fee of approximately Rs. 11,400 after completing IELTS exam registration. Mode of payment can vary depending on who is conducting exam. Mostly, this payment is done through online transactions.
#6. After you have completed registering for IELTS exam 2017, the test centre will confirm your IELTS test date, time and venue. Remember that, the Speaking test can be taken within 7 days before or after the test date.
